The daily charts come to us courtesy of Quartz, and the WonkBlog. The former shows today’s disappointing retail sales figure. March retail sales were down 0.4%; forecasts called for retail sales to decline 0.1%, according to the WSJ. Ex autos, retail sales declined 0.4% (vs. expectations of unchanged); ex autos and gasoline, retail sales declined 0.1%. Last month showed a 1.1% gain in retail sales.
